The HiStone HM628N Windows Tablet can be used as a counter-top terminal, as a wireless waiter tablet, mobile on the shop floor, around stock rooms and warehouses, in outdoor dining areas and at kiosks. It has an inbuilt backstrap making it easy and safe to carry around. It can also be wall-mounted with a VESA bracket.

The build quality of the HM628N makes it much more suitable for commercial and industrial use than some other Windows tablets that are only designed for basic home and educational use, and which could not withstand harsh environment usage where there are potentially multiple users, liquid/grease splashes, knocks, drops and so on.

The main image above shows the Counter-top Charging Dock which is included as standard. This sturdy stand also allows the tablet to be securely held when used as a counter-top device. You can optionally add the Smart Dock with Integral Printer.

The HiStone HM628N is equipped with built-in Magnetic Stripe Reader (MSR) that can be used for staff login or membership/loyalty cards, WiFi, Bluetooth and 2 USB ports. The dock has 2 additional USB 2.0 ports. Ideal if you want to connect your barcode scanner, fingerprint reader and other peripherals. The HM628 supersedes the previous HM618 tablet model, with a higher performance processor, extra ports and enhanced design.

The 10.1" bezel-free widescreen display provides an optimal viewing experience so that you won’t miss a beat while doing business. The display is also designed with Projected Capacitive (PCAP) touch technology that provides rapid response, helps to extend the operating life and allow multi-touch gesture control.

The tablet can be operated in either portrait (when handheld) or landscape mode (when handheld or in the dock), allowing the adaptability to accommodate various operational scenarios and environments.
